Hands on, up close and personal mission projects:
  • Congregational Community Action Project (C-CAP)
    Linden collects items for this very worthwhile food pantry and clothing outlet that serves the needy in our local community. Items are delivered at least monthly.  A project of LUMC.

  • Individualized assistance on a case by case basis
    Administered through the pastor's discretionary fund and in cooperation with other churches and charitable organizations in the greater Front Royal area.

  • Operation Christmas Child
    Shoe boxes packed with toys, hygiene items, school supplies, and other goodies are distributed world wide by Samaritan's Purse. A project of MUMC.

  • United Methodist Committee on Relief (UMCOR)
    We annually assemble needed supplies for emergency relief and send them to UMCOR for distribution.  A project of LUMC.

  • Warren County Senior Center
    Linden collects canned food and fresh vegetable donations to supplement Meals on Wheels and lunch served at the center to the elderly who attend the daily programs.  A project of LUMC.

  • School Supplies for students at Leslie Fox Keyser Elementary School
    Linden members shop the school sales to make an annual donation to our local school at the beginning of the school year so every child will have the supplies they need to be successful in school.  A project of LUMC.

  • American Cancer Society - Relay for Life
    Linden's team, "A Ray of Hope," joins the greater Front Royal/Warren County area in support of Relay for Life. In 2014, our group was the top fund raising team in Warren County.  New members are welcome to join us in the fight against cancer.  Meetings are held in the spring  on the third Tuesday of the month at 6 p.m. in the Linden fellowship hall.  A project of LUMC.

  • Adopt a family Christmas program
    Each Christmas season our churches select a family in need and fulfill their Christmas wish list. The gifts are wrapped and delivered just in time for Christmas.  A project of LUMC.

  • FISH - Fauquier County Food Bank
    Pancake breakfast fund raiser in the spring. A project of MUMC.
  • JAIL MINISTRY - serving inmates at RSW Regional Jail in Front Royal.  Every Monday, 7:00 - 8:00 p.m.  A project of the Men's Fellowship Group.
  • ESL classes - A 10-week course of English as a second language taught at Markham UMC.  A project of MUMC. 

 

Generous financial support delivered throughout the year through Special Offerings
  • Saint Luke Community Clinic, Front Royal, VA
    A free community clinic for county residents who lack health insurance.

  • House of Hope
    The Front Royal Warren County Shelter for homeless men that provides support services.

  • Phoenix Project Emergency services for women and children in Front Royal and Warren County. 

  • Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation
    Searching to find a cure for diabetes and its complications through the support of research.

  • Native American Awareness
    Recognizing and supporting Native American contributions to the church and society.

  • All God's Children Camp ( sponsoring a child)
    Providing summer camp for children of an incarcerated parent.

  • Human Relations Day
    Encouraging social justice and working with at-risk youth throughout the U.S. and Puerto Rico.

  • Amor y Pas
    We add our support for the Spanish language mission church in Winchester, VA

  • World Communion Sunday
    Celebrated on the 1st Sunday in October, we join many Christians in this ecumenical observance. Gifts to World Communion Sunday provide student scholarships.

  • One Great Hour of Sharing
    Lays the foundation for UMCOR's ministry of relief and hope. Donations received through this offering, along with other undesignated gifts made throughout the year, cover administrative costs. All other contributions then go 100% for the projects our donors specify.

  • Peace with Justice
    This special offering helps spread the Gospel of Peace and encourages cooperation, empowering peacemakers to mediate disputes and promote cooperation through the love of Christ.

  • United Methodist Student Day
    Supports United Methodist scholarships and the U.M. Student Loan Fund.

  • Virginia Annual Conference
    Supports the financial goal set each year for scholarships and for specific in-state and international project recipients established by the Conference.
