The United Methodist Church for a number of years has affirmed that as a church we have open hearts, open
minds and open doors.  We want you to know that we welcome visitors and persons who desire to grow in their
spiritual depth. The writer of the book of Ephesians writes; once you were no people but now you are God's
people. These words of the Apostle Paul affirm that in Jesus Christ the people of the world are now united, no
longer separated. We welcome you with open hearts, open minds and open doors.
We envision churches where all God's people are welcomed at a table, nurtured and transformed to be Christ to others in the world.
Small churches - Big hearts...
Linden & Markham United Methodist Churches are small but growing congregations, made up of
loving Christians. Nestled in rural northwest Fauquier County along John Marshall Highway (S.R.
Highway 55), the two churches are a mere 10 minutes in driving distance from each other. Although
we are separate congregations, we are supportive of one another and share in many ways. Among
those things we share are: a special bond through Jesus Christ, joint community services, missions,
combined vacation bible school, fellowships, United Methodist Women and the pastor. The Linden
church holds Sunday services at 9:00 a.m. and the Markham church holds their worship service at
